Hey Guides!
This week's activity on 16th August was Obstacle Journey (OJ). It was a combined patrol activity, meaning that two patrols, specifically P1 & P6, P2 and P7, P3 and P8, P4 & P9 and P5 & P10, moved around and attempt the same station as one group.
Before the OJ started, there was a short inspection to check the patrol logistics and ensure that everyone was prepared. There were 5 stations in total: Electric Fence, Survival Skills + Fire Lighting, Orienteering + Roman Chariot, Gas Room + First Aid and Gadgeting + Physical Training.
Here is a reflection from a Year 2:
As Year Twos, it was our first OJ leading the Year Ones. It was quite nerve wracking initially because we had to meet up to expectations. For the layout inspection, it was very chaotic and we did not communicate very well as a company. We were quite slow and unsure of what to do.
Although things did not start off well, the Year Ones and Twos learnt from their mistakes and made great improvement. Keep up the good work guys!:)

集合, 26th July
Hello guys:)
As the Year 1s had to make preparations for the following day's Parent-Child Day, and Year 2s had to stand down due to Common Test, the Year 3s had a discussion about the upcoming ATC until the Year 1s ended and re-joined us at 1600. For the next 40 minutes, the Year 1s practised their lashes under the supervision of the Year 3s.
After the lash-tying practise session, we had Physical Training! This Physical Training was in the different batches. While the Year 1s took some time to settle into the activity, they eventually put in more effort into trying their best and had high morale. Despite the tough activity they had to complete within the given time, the Year 3s also maintained their high morale and pulled through. :)

Guides activities would stand down for 2 weeks due to the Year 2s Common Tests and National Day Holiday. 加油 Year 2s and here's wishing everyone an early Happy National Day!:D
集合, 19th July
Hello everyone:D
On 19th July, we had our weekly 集合. We split into two groups to tie kitchen tents. Kitchen tents are sheltered places that, as its name suggests, serves as a kitchen for us to carry out Outdoor Cooking without fear of the rain or sun. It also serves as a shelter for us to put our other camp gadgets, such as kitchen dresser, baggage rack and clothesline. As the field area allocated to us could not accommodate all the ten patrols, we split up into two groups. P3, P7, P8, P9 and P10 were in the first group while P1, P2, P4, P5 and P6 were in the second.
Hence, P3, P7, P8, P9 and P10 proceeded to the field to tie their kitchen tents while P1, P2, P4, P5 and P6 had Patrol Activity. Later on, the activities were switched, with P1, P2, P4, P5 and P6 tying the kitchen shelter and P3, P7, P8, P9 and P10 having Outdoor Cooking at the General Science Lab area.
Although there were some hiccups in the activities today, we left with valuable experience from what we had learnt during the building of the kitchen shelter and Patrol Activity/Outdoor Cooking.

Patrol Activity, 15th July
Hi Guides!
On 15th July, the patrols had Patrol Activity, or PA. This was to bond the patrol or train their skills. Hence, there were fun activities such as Fireman's Ladder and more challenging ones like building tents and gadgeting.
With ATC coming up in a few months, it is important to train ourselves so that we are able to perform better not only in areas such as tying structures fast, but also our physical standard, communication, leadership skills.
