8th March Guides Activities

Hi Guides!:D

On 8th March, we had our usual Friday Guides Activities. We had 1.5 hours of PA, 1 hour of Physical Training, and 30mins of YAs session:D

For PA, most patrols had gadgeting and creative gadgeting as a follow-up for practising the lashes we had taught the Year 1s on Monday:), by building Kitchen Dressers or Baggage Racks. Some patrols had firelighting, some taught First-Aid skills, and others taught Survival Skills. As an add-on to the lashes taught on Monday, a few patrols continued teaching more lashes to their Year 1s.

Afterwards, we had PT by patrol. Two patrols combined to have the PT together, and the PLs were the station masters. This PT served as a warm-up for our new Year 1s:]

Following PT, we had YA session by our YAs:) YA stands for Young Adult. They are Year 5s and Year 6s who have graduated from Guides in Year 4, but still wish to continue serving DHSCOY:D For the YAs session, we learnt two new songs in preparation for our 45th Anniversary campfire next year!:) They are 细水长流 and 友谊万岁.
