集合, 31st August

Hi Guides!

On 31st August, we did badgework, with the Year 1s and 2s doing the Artist Badge and the Year 3s doing Knotter's Badge. As there was a Teacher's Day Dinner later, our 集合 ended at 1600 instead of the usual 1830.

For the Artist Badge, our Guides drew 4 drawings:

1. Their patrol emblem
2. Something that represents Guides
3. A landscape or plant drawing
4. A poster for an upcoming Guides campfire.

For the Knotter's Badge, Guides had to accomplish the following:

1.      Tie a tripod lash individuall
2.      Build a tripod in groups of 3/4
3.      Net on the tripod built
4. Tie the following knots individually
• Bowline
• Clove-hitch
• Donkey hitch
• Double overhand
• Fisherman’s
• Man harness
• Packer’s reef
• Round turn and two Half-hitches
• Sheet-bend
• Timber hitch
• Clove hitch

Although we had less time than usual, we still managed to complete the requirements and have a fun time bonding with our batch and patrol mates.:)
