Hi Guides!
Today marked the last official 集合 for the term before Passing Down Parade (PDP)! :( The Year 3s were absent as they were having their Patrol Leader Training Camp (PLTC).
Firstly, the Guides had foot drills practice in their respective patrols, so as to refresh the memories of the juniors in preparation for PDP. Afterwards, the patrols joined back together to have a mass contingent practice, during which the Guides made a horseshoe formation and the Year 4s went through the procedures for the entire enrollment ceremony. Hopefully, the Year 1s are now clearer on the procedures for their enrollment ceremony!
Next, the Guides proceeded to the next activity- Outdoor Cooking! The patrols were paired up, P1 with P10, P2 with P9 and so on. This was the chance for the Year 1s to acquire the basic firelighting skills and for the Year 2s to practise their skills too. The patrols were all hard at work, trying to start their fires and cook food for the entire patrol to enjoy. The dishes ranged from Mac and Cheese to smores and many more. :) After toiling away, the Guides finally sat down in their respective patrols to enjoy their food and have patrol corner.
Lastly, the Guides had time to PDP Preparation, and the entire company split into the respective batches. All in all, the last 集合 for the term truly ended on a high note, as the Guides thoroughly enjoyed the activities and the bonding opportunities that presented themselves during this 集合. :)
