ATC 'o7!!!

HELLO!!! ATC's over but the journey has not ended yet! we still have a long long way to go...

we as sec2s, got a taste of how it was like lead our patrols. We know we didn’t exactly do a very great job, but we all tried our best! We realised that being a pl wasn’t as easy as it had seemed. it wasn’t just walking ahead of everyone else and leading the way. It was giving clear instructions, taking good care or your patrol, not doing everything yourself, but to distribute the manpower, and of course, not forgetting to ask for time extensions!

During the camp, we bonded as a patrol, as a coy [when we all helped each other to bring in all the rafting stuff when it started to pour]. It wasn’t that simple to bond as a patrol, since we were all strangers, especially between the sec1s and 2s. But in the end, we managed to bond through all the different activities that the sec3s planned! :D

As a sec2 jie, I think we need to brush up on our skills and physical. For example, look at how long we took to tie one simple structure during the mini gadgets activity. Moreover, the structures were not stable. Jiayou sec2s! let’s improve our skills and pia together during pt next time! :D

As for the sec1s, I hope all of you had made new friends, as well as know your seniors better! :D we hope this camp has been one that you will forget all about in a couple of months, but one that you will remember in years to come! Remember to pia for the next atc [yes, it sounds quite far away, but it isn’t as far as you think it is(:], where you guys will be the ones leading the next batch of sec1s!

Throughout the camp, I think there was a need for a greater sense of urgency. Many a times, we were walking, what happened to 不是跑,就是飞???

There was one incident, or rather activity that was rather memorable – improvised rafting. When it started to pour before we were even halfway through, everyone really ‘chionged’ in the rain. It didn’t matter whether we were soaked to the skin or not, it didn’t matter whether we were from different patrols, we worked together as one company. The guides spirit was there, I don’t know how to describe it further, it just was. And, thank you sec3s, for helping us bring all the stuff in, even if it included getting yourselves drenched. :D thank you! :D I think the rain didn’t dampen our spirits, it actually bonded us together, or something along that line?

All in all, thank you sec3s for spending so much time planning this camp! All the late nights, all the sleepless nights doing sentry duties, thank you for everything! :D Im sure everyone learnt something new, and we all enjoyed ourselves! :D
