HI guides!
ATC is over and hopefully all of you learnt something in one way or another through this camp! be it new skills or new things you learn about other guides.
As a sec3, i must say that the sec3s bonded much after the planning of this camp. Though the camp may not be perfect, the sec3s certainly put much effort to make this camp a successful one.
We pia-ed as one at times when we had to be united to explain our ideas and rationale of the activities we propose. We cried together when much effort was put into activities which were cancelled at the end due to different reasons. We stayed up late almost everyday, staring at the computer screen, looking at all our proposals and trying our very best to find details which we missed out. We improved and settled the loopholes in the proposals and finally came up with the final activities we were going to hold this ATC.
It was tough as it was the very first major activity we were planning cus everything seemed so different as we were in a totally new campsite at Changi, instead of the familiar Camp Christine. This forced us to change our mindsets and forced us to think out of the box, given such a scenario.
I am glad that the sec3s accepted the challenge to hold the camp at the Changi Coast campsite instead of holding it in school(:
For the sec2s, I hope you guys had fun being in different patrols, leading different sec2s and 1s. It was a new experience and it certainly wasn't an easy task to bond the patrol, especially when everyone were strangers, and to get together to get things done. You all did it together, from the smallest patrol identity to large scale activities like campfire item and an entire OJ and beach PT! Remember what the sec3s and guiders told you! and continue to pia pia pia next year!!
For the sec1s, I am happy to find many of you loving guides even more after ATC. I am sure you met new seniors as well as sec1s. You had a total new patrol and made many new friends through ATC. You went through activities like inspection and night games for the very first time as well! Good job sec1s! Continue to brush up your skills, help your seniors out and get ready to train up the new batch of sec1s who are coming in in merely 2 months' time! Jiayou!
Overall, though this camp was a rather different one, all of us still enjoyed it and gained from it!
Thank You all sec4s who came back to give the sec3s advice and to supervise ATC! (:
(Pictures will be up soon cus blogger is giving me problems again T_T)
Finish your holiday homework, rest well and have a happy holiday guides!!(:
