Hello guides,

We celebrated World Thinking Day yesterday, in school and today, in the indoor National Stadium with all the other girl guides and brownies around Singapore.

World Thinking Day which falls on the 22nd of February, is a day where girl guides/scouts all over the world, in 145 countries will think of one another and give thanks and appreciations for their sister guides and to renew the guide promise we made when we were first enrolled. This year’s theme is girls worldwide say "stop the spread of AIDS, malaria and other diseases". It links directly to our new Global Action Theme: girls worldwide say "together we can change our world." With regards to our new Global action theme, our seniors have also planned to do a cip project to help the needy people thus do participate actively and 'pay forward', something which all of us learnt from the movie today. Together as a whole company with 120 guides, we can make a difference.

Not to forget what Miss Ngau had mentioned to us, “A Good Turn a Day” – This is one of the golden rules of Guides all over the world. Doing something to help is a good turn. It need not be something particularly big or showy and we should aim for at least one good per day :D

Remember to visit the new launched Guides Website for more information about guiding.
