Hello guides :D
Yesterday, we had our first official jihe in 2010.
To start off, we had roll call at the elevated court. For the year twos, it was our first time experiencing the ceremony and we were quite unsure of what to do. Quite a number of us had to pump for not standard attire. I think we should improve on that, for our guides uniform signifies our respect towards guides. We do want our juniors to be looking at us saying: "whoa, they look so seh in their uniform!", dont we?
After that, we mass changed into coy tee and had an awards presentation ceremony at the area outside the general science labs.. A round of applause to the prize receivers (: Keep up the good work, dhscoy!
Following that, the year fours evaluated us. Im sure all of us learnt something, and resolved to work harder. Afterall, our juniors are coming in soon and we want to be of good example to them! We also learnt something important, which is to lead by example. It ended with us boosting our bond among our jie mates (:
We had patrol corner and admin later on. We got our badges, thought up of initiatives and badges we want to pursue. We then went to the elevated court area and played an improvised version of ice and water (where we had to run around in pairs, and people caught had to ding boys style), as well as hide and seek. It was a fun game which tested our wits during hide and seek, and communication with the person we were running with during ice and water.
Soon, time was up and patrol corner ended. Then all of us jihe at the usual area and after singing taps, we were released.
Hope many of us learn something new today and improve together as one whole batch. Jiayou everyone :)
Love guides!
